Canvas Home
This project was the same as the dashboard but with the Canvas student course home page. Here I wanted to create more customizable widgets. I wanted to allow teachers and students to customize the page so it helps them be more efficient.
Creating these customizable widgets would allow for information to be presented the way the instructor wants. It would also allow students to customize the page so it can be more useful for them.
After creating the grey compositions the things that I needed to change were font size in relation to the page and Icon size. After editing I was able to bring together my final idea in my surface comps below.
With the desktop, I felt the page could benefit from widgets that link related information together. This would be customizable by the teacher and then the student could take control and make it work for them. Now there would be a limit to what the student could change so that teachers could help students know what is important to them.
With the mobile page, I felt it was easier to stick with what Canvas currently does and create links to the related pages. What I changed was I created component buttons that have related information at the end of the button to show a small preview of that page.
